چکیده
The stability and stabilizability concepts for means in two variables have been introduced in (Raïssouli in Appl. Math. E-Notes 11:159-174, 2011). It has been proved that the arithmetic, geometric, and harmonic means are stable, while the logarithmic and identric means are stabilizable. In the present paper, we introduce new concepts, the so-called sub-stabilizability and super-stabilizability, and we apply them to some standard means. MSC: 26E60

Stabilizability and detectability of discrete-time time- varying systems
In this paper we introduce some notions of stabilizability and detectability for discrete time-varying systems. These concepts are introduced by making state-space decompositions of the system. This allows an intuitive interpretation and shows the difficulties which occur if one tries to derive general stabilizability and detectability properties. Moreover, we show by means of a counterexample ...
متن کاملStabilization of continuous-time jump linear systems
In this paper, we investigate almost-sure and moment stabilization of continuous time jump linear systems with a finite-state Markov jump form process. We first clarify the concepts of -moment stabilizability, exponential -moment stabilizability, and stochastic -moment stabilizability. We then present results on the relationships among these concepts. Coupled Riccati equations that provide nece...
متن کاملSome Results on Stabilizability of Controlled Lagrangian Systems by Energy Shaping
We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for Lyapunov stabilizability and exponential stabilizability by the energy shaping method for the class of all linear controlled Lagrangian systems of an arbitrary degree of under-actuation, and for the class of all controlled Lagrangian systems of one degree of under-actuation. We give a sufficient condition for asymptotic stabilizability for the ...
متن کاملCan linear stabilizability analysis be generalized to switching systems?
Stabilizability and asymptotic stabilizability of switching systems is characterized in terms of the existence of controlled invariant sets and domains of attraction. Then the classical Kalman decomposition for linear dynamical system is extended to switching systems. This shows that the core issue for solving the stabilizability problem for switching systems is the stability of an autonomous (...
متن کاملGlobal Stabilizability and Observability imply Semi-global Stabilizability by Output Feedback
We show that smooth global (or even semi-global) stabilizability and uniform complete observability are su cient properties to guarantee semi-global stabilizability by dynamic output feedback for continuous-time nonlinear systems.
